Semi-Protection C.Syde's Wiki Favicon

The Site-wide System for Non-Site-wide Features is a system adopted by C.Syde's Wiki as of the 22nd June 2017. It is a system that brings together various CSS and JavaScript enhancements that are not allowed to be used site-wide. In other words, it is a collection of enhancements that are strongly recommended to be used by users on C.Syde's Wiki, so that they can benefit from the features that were intended for, but as of the 12th June 2017, are no longer permitted for site-wide use on C.Syde's Wiki, or indeed on any wiki that is built on the network hosted by Fandom.

Below is a list of various features that are strongly recommended to be used by users on C.Syde's Wiki, but because these features are not allowed to be used site-wide, users on C.Syde's Wiki won't be forced to use them, which wouldn't be successful even if such action was attempted. Please note that this list is still under construction and will be revised and expanded overtime.

As of the 29th June 2017, the need for users to manually add the following features to their personal CSS and JavaScript pages has become unnecessary in large part, as Gadgets have been enabled on this wiki. So all users need to do is to enable gadgets by going to their preferences page. This saves the trouble of having to manually copy and paste stuff to personal CSS and JavaScript pages, but even so, the Site-wide System for Non-Site-wide Features still holds significance.

Talk Button

Main article: Talk Button

Because certain article pages on C.Syde's Wiki - along with their respective talk pages - are not designed for use of article comments for general discussion in large part, the comments sections of those article pages are to be used to discuss and share personal thoughts and opinions on the articles only. Any other activity, such as sharing any results from using the features of the pages are to take place on the article talk pages.

Discussions for improvements to those pages along with their parent article pages are to be taken place on the parent article's talk pages. Incorrect usage of article comments on those pages will result in deletion of those article comments. The posted article comments will be transferred over to the talk pages of those articles. The user will also receive a notification about the said pages are meant to be used.

Account Navigation Links

This script has not officially been published on the Fandom Developers Wiki or any official wikis. But it is one of the first scripts to be used on C.Syde's Wiki, having been a site-wide extension since December 2014. Sadly the script had to be removed site-wide in June 2017, due to customisation policy restrictions, so it has to be added to your wikia.js, for those of you who benefited from site-wide use of this script, and/or want to continue using it for this wiki, after permitted site-wide use of the script was sadly withdrawn.

C.Syde's Wiki-Navigation CSS

A set of Cascading Style Sheets which was used by C.Syde's Wiki to add text shadow to links. As of June 2017, it has become part of the Site-wide System for Non-Site-wide Features on C.Syde's Wiki, which collects up all the CSS and JavaScript intended for the wiki that is no longer allowed to be added site-wide.

Sadly the CSS had to be withdrawn site-wide in June 2017, due to customisation policy restrictions, so in order to restore the text shadows for the community header, navigation header, and footer, it has to be added to your wikia.css, for those of you who remain true to the wiki's intended design.

UTC Clock

While there aren't any particular benefits gained from using this script for this wiki in particular, the script was until the 12th June 2017 used on C.Syde's Wiki site-wide. But since the script is no longer allowed to be used site-wide, it has to be added to your common.js, for those of you who benefited from site-wide use of this script, and/or want to continue using it for this wiki, after permitted site-wide use of the script was sadly withdrawn.

While there aren't any particular benefits gained from using this script for this wiki in particular, the script was until the 7th December 2017 used on C.Syde's Wiki site-wide. Dashboard

A script which adds a Dashboard which can be accessed under the avatar dropdown menu. Because this script cannot be used site-wide without permission, and because I haven't plucked up the courage to request to have this script enabled site-wide, I have enabled the script for use as a gadget for now, instead.

C.Syde's Wiki Discussions CSS

A set of Cascading Style Sheets which can be enabled to add CSS to Discussions. Since Discussions is a mobile-friendly feature, it is not supported by CSS, whether it be site-wide or personal. However, if Stylish is used, the CSS can be enabled to Discussions at a personal level.

The CSS will not make Discussions look quite the same as the rest of the wiki, but it will make it look much more similar. So those who have criticised the way Discussions is completely unsupported by this wiki's CSS, should be a lot happier by using Stylish to activate the CSS.

The stylesheet has not been updated since the 13th August 2018, and is no longer supported. The first main reason is because I got tired of having to constantly update the stylesheet every time Fandom made changes to the site's code. The second main reason is because Stylish was pulled from the Chrome Web Store and Mozilla Add-ons in July 2018, as well as being automatically uninstalled for all existing users.

The reason for this is because of privacy issues that were raised regarding the site since January 2017. After I continued to update the stylesheet through Stylus, the complications that I got from making updates to the stylesheet - which were more tedious than if they were done through Stylish alone - I basically gave up on maintaining the stylesheet any further.

The information regarding the stylesheet is currently retained for historical reference only. While I may revive this stylesheet with an extension other than Stylish at a later date, there is no question about doing so without completely rewriting the stylesheet, since Discussions have been converted to Feeds.

C.Syde's Wiki Preferences CSS

A set of Cascading Style Sheets which can be enabled to add CSS to Special:Preferences, since it is one of the few special pages which is unsupported by local CSS, whether it be site-wide or personal. However, if Stylish is used, the following CSS can be enabled to the page at a personal level.

C.Syde's Wiki Contact-Change Email CSS

A set of Cascading Style Sheets which can be enabled to add CSS to Special:Contact and Special:ChangeEmail, since they are two of the few special pages which are unsupported by local CSS, whether it be site-wide or personal. However, if Stylish is used, the following CSS can be enabled to the pages at a personal level.
