Okay. We all know that genetics are traits such as hair colour, eye colour, or skin tone that Sims have, and can pass to their children. If you've played the games from The Sims series or read this page. You'll be familiar with the way things work, and the phenotypes listed below.

But what if you were to download these additional eye colours in Maxis' style. Or the purple and teal eyes that are in Maxis' style?

You got to know their genetic codes, should you ever download them, and you wish to alter your Sim's genetics, right? The genetic codes for the custom eye colours are listed below, along with the genetic codes for the default hair colours, eye colours, and skin tones.

The grey hair bin used by elders, and the custom hair bin are not genetic bins. They do have bin codes, 00000005-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 and 00000006-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 respectively, but those codes are not used in Sim DNA.

  1. Since the Purple and Teal eye colours weren't geneticised or towniefied prior to being uploaded, they won't show up on newly created NPCs and townies, and are treated as super-dominant eye colours. All custom eye colours by default are super-dominant and not towniefied. In my game I have geneticised and towniefied the Purple and Teal eye colours, making the Purple eye colour dominant, and the Teal eye colour recessive.
  2. Even though the CAS Mannequin skin tone has a bin code, it is not a genetic bin, and as a result is not linked to an actual skin tone. Changing a Sim's DNA to give them CAS Mannequin genetics will not change their skin tone in any way.
